We study mindfulness from historical, societal, structural, cultural, professional, and personal perspectives, with an emphasis on its Buddhist foundations and on concepts of the embodied mind. We look at how recent socio-political phenomena are inspiring diverse applications and adaptations of mindfulness-based interventions.Schedule: Fridays 2:00 PM - 5:00 PMNote: This course will be delivered in person. However, please note that, in keeping with current circumstances, the course delivery may change as determined by the Faculty or the Department.Salary (inclusive of vacation pay):Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.Minimum QualificationsCompleted or nearly completed Ph.D. (or equivalent) in an area related to Buddhist Studies, Mindfulness, and/or the intersections between Buddhism and Psychology.
