Description: Course number and title: Sessional Instructional Assistant EAS110Y1Y – Modern Standard Korean I
Course Description: This course is designed to help students build communication skills in the Korean language. Through an integration of listening, speaking, reading, and writing, it aims to provide a solid foundation in beginning-level Korean. This course assumes that students do not have any prior knowledge of Korean. Students must go through a screening process conducted by the Department. Sessional dates of appointment: September 1, 2024 - April 30, 2025
Salary: $52.26/hour
Hours of Work: 210 hours
Minimum qualifications: A minimum Bachelor's degree. Oral and written fluency in Korean and ability to communicate clearly required information.
Preferred qualifications: Grading and/or teaching experience at the university level preferred with evidence of superior teaching evaluations.
Description of duties: Marking assignments, quizzes, leading tutorials, and other related tasks may be assigned by the course instructor (providing feedback on students' written work, recordings, etc.).
