What is the role about? We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ServiceNow Consultant to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow solutions that meet our business requirements. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, provide expert guidance on best practices, and ensure the optimal performance of the ServiceNow platform. Only experienced ServiceNow Developers to apply please. Key Responsibilities will include:
Design and develop custom applications and modules on the ServiceNow platform.
Implement solutions in areas such as Incident Management, Change Management, Service Catalog, Asset Management, and more.
Develop custom workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and UI actions.
Integrate ServiceNow with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ServiceNow platform functionality.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including process design, data models, and integration documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and define requirements.
Configure and manage the ServiceNow CMDB (Configuration Management Database).
Perform unit testing and support user acceptance testing.
Monitor platform performance and suggest enhancements for optimal functionality.
Participate in platform upgrades and ensure smooth transitions.
Provide training and support for end-users and stakeholders.
What skills are we looking for? Our roles are remotely based (even pre-Covid), meaning you will be working from your home office, connecting with your client and team daily.
As a VR consultant, you will have the flexibility to manage your own day, as long as you meet your set objectives and client demands. Often your team will be a mix of on-site and remote based members who will connect using IM, video calls and an online ticketing system. Good communication skills and time management is essential for this role.
Must have Experience & Skills Required Minimum of 3 years of experience working with ServiceNow platform in a consulting role.
Proven track record of successful ServiceNow implementations and upgrades.
Extensive knowledge of ServiceNow modules including ITSM and HRSD essential Proficiency in ServiceNow development including scripting (JavaScript, Glide), UI policies, business rules, and workflow automation.
Experience with integration tools and methodologies (REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, etc.).
Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or other ServiceNow certifications (preferred).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
As this is a remote role, you can be based anywhere in South Africa, so long as you are authorised to work in the country you reside in without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
