Job Title: Qualified Field Service Technician - Polokwane Salary: R14,000 - R24,000 CTC (depending on experience) Benefits: Company Vehicle, Cell/Data Allowance, Productivity-Based Incentive Job Overview: We are looking for a Qualified Field Service Technician with a minimum of 4 years of directly related experience in the industry.
The candidate must be qualified in catering and industrial kitchen equipment repair and maintenance, with hands-on experience in electrical, refrigeration, and gas systems.
The technician will be responsible for servicing, repairing, installing, and maintaining a variety of catering equipment, including stoves, ovens, fridges, freezers, and small kitchen appliances.
Key Responsibilities: Service, repair, install, and maintain catering and industrial kitchen equipment.
Identify and troubleshoot problems effectively.
Provide timely service, including night and weekend breakdown repairs as needed.
Travel to client sites as required to complete repairs and installations.
Participate in regular training workshops to stay updated on new equipment and procedures.
Work independently and manage daily tasks efficiently without direct supervision.
Ensure proper handling and storage of spare parts and company vehicles.
Minimum Requirements: Formal qualification/trade in Electrical or Refrigeration.
Minimum 4 years of experience working with catering and industrial kitchen equipment.
Strong technical skills in gas, electrical, and refrigeration systems.
Valid driver's license and passport.
Ability to work from home and manage electronic job cards via mobile devices.
Must have a safe place to store the company vehicle and spares.
Strong customer orientation and communication skills.
Ability to travel as required by the job.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08h00-17h00.
Overtime may be required for night and weekend service calls, particularly in the food industry.
Overtime will be compensated accordingly.
Training and Development: Technicians will be provided with regular training workshops to enhance their skills on new equipment.
A two-week initial training period will be provided to familiarize the technician with company procedures.
Additional Notes: We require reliable and trustworthy technicians who can hit the ground running and work with minimal supervision.
Due to the nature of our business, the role involves interacting with restaurants and other food industry clients, often outside of standard business hours.
