Service Technician We are hiring a Service Technician who will be responsible for customer support, overseeing installations and repairs, and growing sales within the Services Business Unit.
SKILLS & ABILITIES: Strong refrigeration, mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Ability to work in both office and plant floor environments.
Ability to work independently.
Work well under pressure.
Attention to detail is essential.
Customer service mindset is a must.
Strong focus on Quality and the importance of following procedures.
Team player Responsibilities & duties: Complete required service reports and communicate to relevant persons.
Communicate/coordinate field service activities with customer and/or local Rubicon associated sales personnel.
Installation, service and repair of refrigeration air conditioning, and all associated tasks thereof.
Overall understanding of Rittal/Panel Mount Industrial Panel Coolers Good working knowledge of intercoolers and heat exchangers Provide telephonic technical support to customers.
Promote Service Contracts through customer interactions and communication.
Understand customer requirements and provide most cost-effective solution from Rubicon.
Follow-up on Sales leads Grow the customer base for Services.
Identify sales opportunities within customers plants.
Grow sales and revenue for Services Department (SLAs, once-off services, parts and accessories.
Process in-house evaluations and repairs of units returned by customers.
Coordinate and work well with Service Partners Other duties as may be requested from time to time Qualification & experience: Matric (Grade 12) Refrigeration qualification preferable Minimum 3 years' experience in relevant field Working knowledge of refrigeration products is required.
Experience using electrical meters and troubleshooting.
Previous field service experience preferred.
