Service Technician

As a Service Technician in our Maintenance Department, you are essential in maintaining the performance and extending the lifespan of our clients' solar thermal systems, HVAC systems, and related equipment. Your key duties include responding to service requests, diagnosing problems, and performing maintenance tasks with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction. Skills & Experience: Respond quickly to service calls, identify problems, and fix them accurately Perform thorough inspections and regular maintenance of solar and HVAC systems on-site Carry out repairs, replacements, and system upgrades using proper methods Follow maintenance schedules to keep equipment running smoothly for a long time Help customers understand how their systems work and provide advice on maintenance Make sure all work meets safety rules and company quality standards Help out with installation projects when needed Skilled at diagnosing and solving complex problems quickly Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients and colleagues Qualification: National Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a similar qualification Technical certification in solar thermal or HVAC systems is a plus Proven experience as a Service Technician in solar thermal or HVAC maintenance Valid driver's license In-depth technical knowledge of solar thermal systems, HVAC technologies, and related equipment Familiarity with hydraulic systems, plumbing, and electrical setups used in hot water and heating/cooling systems Able to work both independently and as part of a team Contact SHAWN VELDTMAN on 021 418 1750 , quoting the Ref: CTE025938 Connect with us on www.communicate.co.za and Register your CV to create a profile and to view all our Engineering recruitment vacancies.
