Job Description Position Overview The Service Repair Team plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of elevators, escalators, and related equipment.
This role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading lift systems while maintaining excellent customer service and adhering to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities Maintenance and Repairs Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on elevators, escalators, and other lift systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to determine root causes.
Conduct emergency repairs to minimize downtime for clients.
Install and commission upgrades to existing lift systems for improved efficiency and safety.
Collaborate with engineering teams to modernize outdated systems according to customer needs and regulatory requirements.
Safety and Compliance Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper use of tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), and lockout/tagout procedures.
Conduct safety inspections and ensure that all equipment complies with local codes and standards.
Complete documentation and reports on repairs and safety checks.
Customer Interaction Communicate effectively with clients to explain repairs and offer solutions for improved lift performance.
Provide timely updates and support during repair and maintenance activities.
Team Collaboration Work closely with other technicians, supervisors, and engineers to ensure quality and efficiency in all service and repair activities.
Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on industry best practices and new technologies.
Qualifications Matric Addition lift installation qualification will be an advantage Additional Information Personal Attributes Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
