Service Manager

Job DescriptionA qualified Diesel Mechanic with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role is required to manage the maintenance and upkeep of a large fleet of vehicles.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the transport, logistics, and agriculture industries, as well as excellent analytical and financial skills.Key Responsibilities:Manage expenditure within budget, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed of expenditures and corrective action is taken when necessary.Oversee workshop operations, including vehicle inspections, quality control, and breakdown analysis.Conduct quarterly fleet audits and ensure compliance with all legal requirements.Manage store stock levels, purchase replacement parts and equipment, and maintain high-quality tyre maintenance standards.Compile and submit monthly reports in the prescribed format.Requirements:Technical Degree/Post Graduate Diploma or Qualified Diesel Mechanic Trade Certificate.Up to 5 years' experience in a similar role.Strong financial acumen and ability to analyse market trends.Good relationship building skills and ability to work in a dynamic team environment.Innovative and lateral thinking, with a hands-on management style.
