Job Title: Diesel Mechanic ManagerThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing the workshop operations, ensuring expenditure is within budget, and implementing preventative maintenance programs.
They will also oversee fleet disposal and purchases, manage the service workshop, and provide technical assistance as needed.This role requires a strong understanding of the transport, logistics, and agriculture industries, as well as experience in diesel mechanics and fleet management.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Key Responsibilities:Expenditure Control: Ensure that expenditure is within budget and maintain accurate recordsFleet Maintenance: Manage the maintenance program, including inspections, repairs, and quality controlFleet Disposal and Purchases: Coordinate the sale or purchase of vehicles and equipmentService Workshop Management: Oversee the daily operations of the service workshopTechnical Assistance: Provide support on technical matters, such as fuel consumption anomalies and warranty claimsRequirements:Technical Degree/Post-Graduate Diploma or Trade Certificate in Diesel MechanicsUp to 5 years' experience in a similar roleStrong financial acumen and analytical skillsExcellent communication and negotiation skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team
