Introduction:Please kindly take the time to read the job specification before applying.Our client, an established and very busy dealership in Dundee is seeking to employ an EXPERIENCED DEALERSHIP SERVICE MANAGER that is self-motivated, friendly, and hardworking.The SERVICE MANAGER will be responsible for the complete Management of the departments.Position: Service ManagerIndustry: AutomotiveLocation: DundeeSalary: Market RelatedMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Minimum of 5+ years' experience as Dealership Service Manager in a high-volume dealership.Senior Certificate.Valid South African Driver's License.Ability to manage total financial and budgeting aspect of the department.Fluent in both Afrikaans and English.SKILLS:Valuations of trade-in vehicles.Excellent communication skills.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.High Level of motivation, initiative and integrity.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Must be able to perform various tasks such as:Ensure high-quality service work and standards are met for all services and repairs.Contribute to customer satisfaction through proper execution of service and repair requirements.Ensure timely delivery of repaired vehicles.Oversee training of technicians and apprentices.Maintain a safe working environment.Set and monitor targeted appointment rates.Increase service and parts sales.Increase market share.Monitor and control expenses.Reduce job stoppages and time taken for repairs.Minimize repeat repairs and comebacks.Maintain technician motivation and morale.Ensure employee retention and satisfaction.Minimize vehicle carryovers.Maintain a clean and orderly workshop using 4S principles.Meet manufacturer's technical performance and operational guidelines.Meet dealer's performance and profit guidelines.Oversee daily manpower allocation and capacity planning.Support frontline staff during peak hours for customer relationship building.Assist with repair explanations to customers when required.Distribute repair orders to appropriate technicians based on skill and priority.Assist technicians with difficult diagnoses.Monitor work progress to ensure timely completion.Maintain accurate time-keeping records for technicians.Conduct quality control inspections.Keep frontline staff informed of delays and additional work found.Review and approve service invoices and credit notes.Oversee warranty and goodwill cases.Establish and implement a service reminder system.Set yearly technical staff training targets.Cultivate business relationships with retail and fleet customers.Develop marketing strategies for new business acquisition.Analyse market competitors, conditions, and campaign effectiveness.Monitor and analyse key performance indicators.Ensure franchisor facility standards are maintained.Set and monitor service performance targets.Monitor and act on customer satisfaction reports and trends.Resolve customer complaints efficiently.Ensure availability and maintenance of tools and equipment.Act as a mentor to apprentices and trainees.Attend new model training courses and conduct in-house training.Lead, control, and motivate service technicians.Conduct regular technician meetings.Monitor service shop environmental and safety issues.Maintain regular contact with franchisor after-sales and technical staff.Meet with Dealer Principal and frontline managers regularly.Formulate and implement service department promotions.Monitor staff attendance and process leave applications.Complete and submit staff incentive claims.Allocate cost centres and authorize sublet and material buy-out invoices.Review and discuss warranty register reports with Dealer Principal.Manage outstanding cash sales and work-in-progress reports.EMAIL SUBJECT LINE:Serv Man DundeeTo apply please send your CV to: ****** date: Tuesday 17th of September 2024Contact:Delene van der Merwe.Provincial CoordinatorOffice: 0817552934 / 0123463603email: ******: www.hutech.co.zaPOPIA Disclaimer:By sending your CV to the above-mentioned e-mail address you agree to:The processing of your personal information and sharing it with third parties for verifications.The exercising of your rights provided for by POPIA.To acknowledge that Hutech International Group (Pty) Ltd will keep the record of your personal information confidential.
