Our client in the Engineering Industry based in Cape Town is looking for an experienced Service Engineer to join their vibrant team. The incumbent will be installing, repairing and maintaining equipment
Key requirements Engineering qualifications3-5 years of experience in a similar roleMarine experience is essentialComputer literate and capable of producing professional service reportsKey responsibilities Ensure that all work is carried out according to the manufacturer's procedures and specifications by utilization of manufacturer's instruction manuals and relevant technical drawings: dismantling of equipment, machinery and componentsReadying components for inspection and calibrationPerforming/assisting with inspection and calibration, balancing of equipment and recording calibrated data for incorporation into repair reportsIdentifying any worn or malfunctioning components and marking them for replacementAssembling equipment, machinery and components upon receipt of replacement parts and conducts final inspection and testingAssist with root cause investigation of failed equipmentRecord all calibrations, deviation from specifications, spare parts utilizationThe removal and installation of fuel pumps and injectors on all enginesPerform welding and basic fabrication tasks on equipment where requiredEnsure that all activities are in accordance with regulation and policies, code of conduct and applicable lawEnsure that health and safety requirements are met and adhered to at all times
