Job Description: Senior Active Directory Engineer
It is the responsibility of the Active Directory Engineer to work collaboratively with client's business unit stakeholders, Line Managers, and other service providers to ensure a secure and stable Active Directory environment.
The Active Directory Engineer will spend significant periods, during Business Hours, at Client's offices and will be on standby to aid outside of Business Hours if reasonably required to do so by the Client. The Active Directory Engineer will be contactable by telephone outside of Business Hours.
The primary responsibility of the Senior Active Directory Engineer is to plan, manage and monitor the implementation of Active Directory operational activities and processes to ensure delivery on approved operational plans and to continuously enhance service delivery.
Responsibilities

Technical Responsibilities: Act as the L4 Active Directory Engineer responsible for all Microsoft Active Directory systems on the client Contract, inclusive of all Microsoft integrated system: Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), Lightweight Directory Services (LDAP), Rights Management Services (RMS), Domain Naming Services (DNS), Dynamic Host Control Protocol (DHCP), Group Policy Management (GPO), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Azure AD sync and Microsoft Azure AD, etc.
Oversee daily operations and service quality relating to the on-going support of Microsoft Active Directory services.
Responsible for Escalation Management process to ensure critical incidents are resolved within SLA to minimise business impact to the client.
Responsible for Event Management and to ensure that all services are constantly monitored and with the objective to filter and categorize events to agree on appropriate actions when required.
Responsible for Incident Management to ensure that the critical incident management process is adhered to by all parties, minimizing the impact on business operations.
Enterprise IT Governance - Review current and proposed information systems for compliance in line with the organisation's obligations.
Relationship management - Implements stakeholder engagement/communications plan, managing resolutions and corrective actions.
Client Service Support - Responsible for day-to-day management, resource planning and work allocation to meet agreed service levels.
Manage the Service Delivery process - Assist in defining, developing, and communicating the service delivery operations processes and procedures.
Ensure client satisfaction. Responsible for understanding the core issues affecting the client and liaising with the relevant service teams to resolve.
Responsible for Problem Management ensuring processes across all contracted Service Lines are in place.
Responsible for Configuration Management across all contracted services to maintain the configuration data on the Client Group configuration management database (CMDB).
Responsible for Change Management ensuring adherence to all processes and procedures.
Responsible for Service Level Management across all Active Directory services.
Responsible for Capacity Management, monitoring trends and thresholds for supported infrastructure.
Responsible for Continuity and Disaster Recovery management.
Responsible for Availability Management to define, analyze, plan, measure and improve all aspects of availability.
Accountable for Lifecycle Management within the connectivity contracted services.
Accountable for Vulnerability, Patch and Security Management to ensure that the client estate is secure.

Requirements – Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

Extensive technical know-how of Active Directory and all other related services.
Minimum two years' experience and knowledge of Active Directory.
Reviewing system changes for security implications and recommending improvements.
Excellent hands-on experience implementing, configuring, integrating, and supporting the Active Directory environment.
MCSE – must be up to date and still active.
