Senior Warehouse Supervisor

Reporting to Operations Executive Job Purpose: To ensure that the warehouse is managed efficiently with regards to stock, assets, expenses and staff Key responsibilities: Manage timekeeping of staff, HR requirements, staff leave and overtime for warehouse staff Hold monthly staff meetings, ensuring effective communication is maintained Ensure staff are issued with KPIs / performance reviews and are monitored on their performance Manage variable expenses, pallet wrap, pallets, packaging materials, cleaning materials, repairs etc. Ensure that all purchase orders generated for the month are signed off and mailed off to head office before close of month end Cycle counts to be carried out daily and rectified with the stock controller Housekeeping is to be of high standard and monitored as per cleaning schedule Ensure stock received is receipted/ GRNd timeously and reading for sales to dispatch Comply with OHS standards at all time, and maintain a good rating Ensure all staff in warehouse are trained and training is up to date Ensure that FIFO and stock rotation is applied at all times during picking stages Make sure that rebags are updated daily, damages kept to a minimum and communicated to sales staff weekly Ensure forklift inspections are carried out and are maintained in a good condition Address any stock queries timeously and resolve issues Prepare, plan and execute stock take Prepare and conduct customer Audits SOPs need to be adhered to: Receiving, Put Away, Picking, Admin, OHAS, Rebags and Cleaning. Manage Department employees and sure their SOPs are carried out and managed Knowledge & Skills: Matric Tertiary education in Logistics, Operations or Management Proven track record of Senior Warehouse Supervisory experience Ability to think independently Good communication skills Attention to detail and accuracy Good computer skills: SAP knowledge , Cartrack , Access Control System , Safe Cyte Excellent timekeeping Leadership qualities Authorities: To give lawful and legitimate instructions related to his/her section.
