Senior Vice President Logistics Africa

Main Purpose: As Senior Vice President Logistics Africa for Puma Energy, you will lead, direct, and control the activities of our assets in Africa, ensuring the region achieves its short and long-term financial and operating objectives. You will oversee structured processes for planning, acquiring, maintaining, operating, and optimising these assets in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
Key Responsibilities: Experience: 10-15 years of experience managing large numbers of Africa-based warehousing and logistics assets such as rail tractions.Deep experience in Logistics, Road, and Rail, with some experience in Sea/Vessels in Africa.Planning and implementing operations processes, including designing products to meet customer requirements, quality standards, and delivery commitments.Managing resources: Optimising supply chain logistics, managing budgets and forecasts, and working with HR to support staff development.Ensuring quality control: Conserving safety measures and ensuring the quantity required is produced, quality is maintained, and material wastage is minimised.Developing marketing strategies: Working closely with senior management and taking ownership of profit and loss (P&L) results.Leading teams: Fostering a high-performance culture by setting and tracking team scorecard metrics and serving as a liaison between management and supervisors.Key Relationships and Department Overview: Internal: Business units and country headsExternal: Customers; logistics service providers
