JOB PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for developing and administering the performance of all the employees in UMK for engineering.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12/Matric certificate.
Diploma in Human Resource Management or Education, Training and Development Certificate – Level 6.
Artisan Trade Certificate, and certificates in: Skills Development Facilitator, ISO 9001, Assessor, Moderator, Facilitation and presentation skills, Computer Literacy (MS-Package) and Mentorship and coaching.
All relevant statutory courses will be an added advantage.
Experience in the implementation of policies and procedures.
3-5 years of relevant experience as HR/HRD Instructor/Facilitator/Officer.
Experience in course material development in the mining industry.
Proficient in HR Systems (Preferably SAGE VIP and X-Time).
Valid driver's license.
Medically fit to work in a mining environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilitate the development of employees in line with applicable legislation and create training programs for engineering training interventions.
Facilitate training programs for engineering training interventions, assess, and moderate them.
Compile internal training status reports for management decisions and departmental actions.
Conduct Training Needs Analysis and align training material as per legislative and industry trends.
Design training policies and procedures, implement, and maintain them.
Participate in MQA technical reference groups activities.
Compile in-house reports to support workplace skills plan reports (WSP & ATR).
Maintain ISO 9001 and MQA Accreditation through good practices.
Liaise with external training providers to ensure scheduled training takes place.
Organise Engineering and Beneficiation Plant functional, legal training, and Learnerships.
Develop and manage training matrices with departmental managers and support line.
Implement training within the set budget.
Organise agreed-upon organisational development interventions (Individual Development Plans).
