Zutari's Transport Unit's Transport Planning Section in Cape Town is seeking an Engineer who specialises in Traffic & Transport Engineering to join our Transportation Planning section. This is a great opportunity in Cape Town for a Professional Engineer (or in the process of obtaining professional registration) looking to move to a dynamic transportation planning environment with a diverse palette of projects.
Role Responsibilities Working with and supporting a team of experienced and specialist Traffic and Transport Engineers.Technical management of transport engineering projects, which range from small traffic impact assessments through major public transport planning, implementation and operational management projects running over many years.Providing primary client liaison in respect of some projects.Participation in the administration of projects in line with company requirements.Lead or assist with compiling tenders for any Transport Planning/Traffic Engineering related opportunities.Contributing to the professional development of junior team members.BEng or BSc Engineering degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.Registration as a Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng. or equivalent) OR clear evidence of registration progress.A post-graduate qualification will be advantageous.A minimum of 5 years postgraduate experience with a broader interest in Transportation Planning.Demonstrated ability to independently lead projects in the traffic and transport engineering environment.Financial modelling and management experience will be advantageous.Ability to develop and enhance client relationships.Ability to work in a team environment across a diverse range of projects.Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.Ability to work under pressure.Valid South Africa driving license and willingness to travel, when required.We believe that a diverse workforce is key to our business success.
