QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Grade 12 – Technical  Driver's license – Code C1  National Technical Certificate (at least NTC6)  Maps & Navigation  4 – 5 years' experience in weapon systems 
 CRITICAL PERFORMANCE AREA
The incumbent will be responsible to perform the following functions but not limited to; To ensure that the MOU and six monthly inspection are prepared according to client requirements.  To ensure that the foreign client weapon systems are prepared for tests.  Assist the weapon technician with first and second line repair tasks.  Safe operation of infantry, artillery and armour weapon systems according to Alkantpan procedures and client's Standard Operating Procedures.  Perform preventative maintenance tasks according to procedures.  To ensure safety and security of all weapons.  The preparation, release and operation of weapons according to test requirement.  Supervise the preparation and maintenance of targets according to test requirements.  Supervise the test team (technical officers) during the preparation, operation and after fire routine/mop-up of weapons and targets.  Act as mentor for junior personnel (technical officers and assistants)  Escort weapon systems during import and export to and from port of entry.  Render any other related duties  
KNOWLEDGE & FUNCTIONAL SKILLS: Knowledge of the management systems (e.g. SHE, Quality, etc.) Knowledge of weapons (infantry and/or armour, and/or artillery)
