We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Technical Consultant with network and systems expertise in information technology networks and network security to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have advanced technical knowledge of FortiGate firewalls, Fortinet security appliances, and switching, routing, and related technologies (e.g., CISCO and Aruba) as well as experience with wireless technologies.Skills and ExperienceWhat you'll do:Provide excellent customer satisfaction, interaction, and engagementEngage at management and executive levelsUnderstand TCP/IP and networking protocolsConfigure and troubleshoot OSPF, QoS, and Multicast; understand BGPManage Layer 2 networking, including STP, VLANs, port channel/Ether channel technologyHandle Layer 3 networking, including dynamic routing protocols and HSRP/VRRP/GLBP/SVIUtilize Fortinet SD-WANEmploy various tools such as Protocol Analyzer, IPAM, RADIUSPerform network packet capture and analysis (Wireshark)Utilize development/automation/scripting knowledge (Python)Report and escalate issues to 3rd party vendors if necessaryProactively identify opportunities for work optimization, including automationApply strong knowledge of Incident and Problem management processesTroubleshoot and resolve complex network issues including fault managementDemonstrate strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to new methods and processesMentor colleagues and peers in networking and other areasYour Expertise:Minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Technology Networks and/or network securityAdvanced technical knowledge in switching, routing, and related technologiesAdvanced technical knowledge of FortiGate firewalls and Fortinet security appliancesSolid experience in technology support functions and tools such as change/configuration management, testing, documentation, and implementation processesAdvanced technical support and troubleshooting skillsMaintenance of complex network and network security systemsAdvanced technical knowledge in managing internal and external DNS servicesExperience in SSL certificate managementEvaluation and optimization of network performanceAutomation of network functions and dutiesQualifications Required:Fortinet NSE6 and NSE7 certifications will be an advantageAruba Certified Switching Professional (ACSP)CCNP Enterprise certification will be an advantageMicrosoft Azure Administrator certification will be an advantageAWS Certified Solutions Architect: Associate certification will be an advantageOtherPersonal Attributes:Team player with good work ethic and attendance recordSelf-driven: Able to get the job doneStrong sense of responsibility in taking ownership of problems and seeing them through to completionOther Information Applicable to the Opportunity:Must work in a team supporting a customer who operates 24x7x365.
