Salary: Competitive, based on experience About the Role: Our client is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to manage and maintain their IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems. This role involves overseeing the administration of Windows and Linux servers, implementing virtualisation solutions, managing backups and disaster recovery plans, and ensuring system security and compliance with industry standards. Requirements: Proven experience as a Senior Systems Administrator or similar role; In-depth knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration; Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V; Strong understanding of backup and disaster recovery strategies and methodologies; Familiarity with network security practices and systems; Hands-on experience with Active Directory and other directory services; Proficiency in installing, configuring, and maintaining software applications and operating systems; Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; Ability to lead and mentor a team of IT professionals; Effective communication and collaboration abilities; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred); Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, VMware Certified Professional) a plus. Role & Responsibilities: Manage IT infrastructure (servers, networks, storage) Administer Windows and Linux servers Implement and manage virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V) Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans Monitor and troubleshoot system and network issues Enforce security policies and conduct audits Manage user accounts (Active Directory) Install and update software and OS Provide advanced technical support Lead and mentor junior IT staff Collaborate with IT teams and participate in projects Oversee cloud services and Citrix environments
