To monitor trading activity and ensure compliance with the JSE trading rules.Key Performance Areas (KPAs)Insider trading reviews across all asset classes (cash equities, equity derivatives, corporate bonds)Real time monitoring and review of significant share price and share volume reactionsMonitor and review price-sensitive company announcements falling on your allotted rosterPreparation and presentation of referral documentation to the Financial Sector Conduct Authority for further investigation at monthly market abuse meetingsProvide ongoing support to the FSCA investigations until the completion of the investigationPrice manipulation reviews across asset classes (cash equities, commodity derivatives, bond market)Monitor and independently conduct reviews of allegations of prohibited trading practices to identify prohibited trading practicesReview and signoff of market abuse alertsConduct quarterly alert optimization reviewsReal time monitoring and review of share price reactions to identify prohibited trading practicesPreparation and presentation of referral documentation to the Financial Sector Conduct Authority for further investigation at monthly meetingsProvide ongoing support to the FSCA investigationsDerivative profit and loss reviewsExecution of derivative profit and loss reviewsAdjudication of error trades across asset classesExecution of all other surveillance processes in line with agreed timelinesMinimum Requirements:Degree in Financial/Quantitative Field (Maths, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Big Data, etc.)5 years' experience preferably in market surveillanceMarket surveillance experience from another exchange would be a huge advantageKnowledge and Skills required:Experience in interacting with the front office (i.e. experience in a middle office role)
