Senior Specialist - Cost & Accounting

We are currently on a search for a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Specialist - Cost & Accounting to join the largest manufacturer and distributor of major appliances in Southern Africa, to be based in Durban, Jacobs. The role requires a strong focus on product cost analysis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct comprehensive cost analysis for existing and new products.Develop detailed cost models that break down direct and indirect costs.Perform variance analysis to identify and explain cost discrepancies.Create and maintain product cost databases and tracking systems.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual product cost reports.Develop and maintain standard cost systems.Assist in the annual budgeting process with precise product cost estimations.Prepare cost allocation methodologies for overhead and indirect expenses.Generate management reports highlighting product cost trends and insights.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.3-5 years of experience in cost accounting, with a focus on product cost analysis.Advanced Excel skills.Proficiency in SAP.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Strong communication skills.Ability to present complex financial information clearly.Collaborative team player.
