Senior Specialist, Africa Regions Tax Advisory and CRM Job Overview Business Segment: Group Functions
Location: ZA, GP, Johannesburg, Baker Street 30
To provide subject matter expertise and advice for the management of all taxes across the Standard Bank Group, specifically focusing on African Regions and for the identification and delivery of appropriate initiatives to fulfil the overall objectives and mandates of the Group Tax Function, with specific focus on strategic tax risk management and compliance in order to optimise the tax requirements and consequences aligned to the overall SBG Corporate strategy.

Other Minimum Qualifications, Certifications or Professional Memberships: Chartered Accountant CA(SA)
Experience Required Tax Management: 8-10 years
The role requires an incumbent with a deep level of understanding of the entire Finance value chain but specialist experience in tax in African jurisdictions, Tax accounting, Reporting and Compliance, Corporate Tax, Indirect Taxes, Remuneration Tax, International Tax and Transfer pricing. Experience in Banking and Financial Services across multiple jurisdictions is essential.
Accounting systems knowledge - SAP and Finacle IT systems would be preferred. Engaging and influencing senior leaders and providing tax advisory services. Office 365, including strong Excel and Power BI skills.
