Minimum Requirements:
A recognised cooking diploma from an accredited training institution
At least 2 years' experience as a Senior Sous Chef, or 4-5 years as a Junior Sous Chef in a 5-star establishment or similar high-end kitchen environment
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and oversee food preparation, maintaining 5-star culinary standards in all aspects of kitchen operations
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, with the ability to step in and resolve any issues swiftly
Ensure the highest standards of hygiene and safety are maintained within the kitchen at all times
Be familiar with food costing, ordering processes, stock takes, and FIFO stock control
Exhibit strong people management and kitchen leadership skills, effectively disciplining underperforming staff and motivating the team to exceed expectations
Manage and coordinate staff schedules, ensuring the kitchen is adequately staffed and running effectively
Use your extensive culinary experience across various roles and settings to mentor and coach junior chefs, helping them grow and excel in their roles
