Position Overview : LJI's strategy of transit monitoring focuses on identifying and assisting trafficking victims during the transport process.
The primary duty of the Senior Software Development Manager is to bring technological solutions to key program strategies.
This position is full-time and based in South Africa, with travel required for 4-6 weeks (spread over multiple shorter trips).
Primary Duties and Responsibilities : The Senior Software Development Manager will lead a small team of software developers responsible for developing the following: Searchlight : Our custom data collection and analysis web application, which is under constant improvement.
"Childlight" : A database for organizing all child records related to our Family Homes.
Operations Dashboard : Our task management system, currently in Google Sheets, with plans to move to a database.
This role will require coding alongside managerial responsibilities.
Other duties may include technology-related projects, map visualizations, and general spreadsheet maintenance.
Qualifications : Mature Christian faith and agreement with our Global Value to "Abide in Christ" Knowledge and understanding of how the Christian Gospel ministers to "the least of these" (Matthew 25:40) MA in Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar relevant field 8 years in a technological role Full stack development experience (preferably with Django and React or AngularJS) 5 years of managerial experience Strategic thinking and strong business acumen Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to manage various projects simultaneously Excellent organizational and time-management skills Attention to detail Application Process : We invite applications for this position until a new Senior Software Engineer has been hired.
