Kindly note that the successful candidate must meet the requirements as specified below.Responsibilities:Credit and Debt Review Secretariat DutiesAssist in enabling the organisation to be the "Voice of the Industry" of the banking sector through formulation of positions on critical regulatory and supervisory issues;Distribute regulations (for Credit/Debt Review) that require comments/engagement;Collect and collate members' comments for review by committee members and submission to Stakeholders;Assist with the review of new and existing legislation;Set up meetings with high-profile stakeholders, including the executive board, board members, directors from other institutions, registrars, and industry leaders, as requested by the company Project/Programme Manager and Senior Specialist Credit and Debt Review;Project Coordinator for Credit and Debt ReviewAssist the Project/Programme Manager with the implementation of identified projects, track project progress and project deliverables/outputs;Assist the Project/Programme Manager with implementing the agreed company strategy;Assist the Project/Programme Manager with driving initiatives affecting the banking sector and the Credit and Debt Review frameworks;Assisting with the Debt Review SystemsRun, check and verify exceptions for monthly data submitted by member banks on their Debt Review Portfolios;Distribute consolidated BASA monthly Debt Review data to member banks;Assist with driving projects efficiently and effectively by adhering to defined performance objectives and agreed processes;Facilitate all Debt Counselling Rules System (DCRS) project meetings as the BASA Secretariat and ensure that all changes and progress are recorded for the system at all times;Organisational SupportParticipate in, create, and promote a collaborative, learning and performance-oriented culture;Assist member banks in company IT related issues, particularly SharePoint access;Collaborate with cross-functional, cross-divisional teams, and fellow team members;Technical Skill Set:Proven experience in Workshop Facilitation, and National Credit Act, debt review and other credit regulation;Exceptional stakeholder management skills, including engaging high-profile stakeholders and managing their expectations;Ability to engage at executive level through to fellow colleagues;Excellent communication, presentation, escalation and negotiation skills;Ability to work in a team or independently;Good expense and cost control skills, e.g. processing invoices, allocating expenses to correct accounts, ensuring that accounts balance;Familiarity with debt review practices and processes in the credit industry is required;Ability to create business processes and procedures is a requirement;Compiling user manuals to conduct user training on IT system solutions is a requirement;Familiarity with the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from a business user perspective, including functional requirements, user acceptance testing and end-user problem resolution;Familiarity with Debt Review systems, National Credit Regulator Circulars and Guidelines would be advantageous;Ability to review monthly data reports submitted by member banks, and review data validation output generated by consolidation systems;Experience in representing organizations in committees and industry-related events;Experience in managing committees at various levels and ensuring that all levels of committees are engaged at the necessary level;Strong understanding of regulatory and legal issues in the banking industry, finance industry, credit, and debt review;Soft Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities;Excellent time management skills;Must be a people person and able to work alone or as part of a team;Must have excellent organisational abilities and must be able to multi-task;Must be responsible and have integrity;Must be professional, hard-working and highly motivated;Must be analytical and a good problem-solver;Must have excellent communication skills at various levels in the organization from peers to executive level;Must be pro-active and goal driven;Must be tenacious and consistent;Must have the ability to be cool, calm and collected;Minimum Requirements:Project Coordinator certification would be advantageous;Minimum of 6 to 8 years of secretariat functions;Minimum of 6 to 8 years of IT Project coordination;Minimum of 6 to 8 years from a SDLC perspective regarding functional requirements, user acceptance testing, regression testing, training, support and problem investigations;Experience in Finance, Market Conduct, Credit or Debt Review related fields, including exposure to the National Credit Act, 34 of 2005 (would be advantageous);Experience in data verification systems and validations in terms of monthly data submissions (would be advantageous);Experience in the field is compulsory.Annual basic salary R830 000 depending on experience and qualifications.
