Relevant experience may substitute for education Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience in either "mining equipment", "earthmoving equipment" or "construction equipment" . This is essential Own transport and valid drivers license Willingness to travel frequently within the sales territory including the regional markets Ability to conduct physical inspections and demonstrations of heavy machinery Accountabilities / Key Performance Areas Facilitates the sale and rental of equipment (and specialising in the sale of ADTs and WEX) in order to meet targets Networks with existing and potential customers and business partners to drive growth in the division Sources new business leads Sales Generation: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets for the articulated dump truck and wheel excavator Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through market research, networking, and lead generation Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers Provide exceptional customer service and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business Product Knowledge and Presentation: Have a developed and in-depth understanding of the articulated dump truck and wheel excavator, including features, benefits, and competitive advantages Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to potential customers, highlighting the capabilities and suitability for their specific needs Guide/ support the rest of the Sales managers and dealers on the sale of ADTs and WEX Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities Provide feedback to management on market trends and customer needs to inform product development and sales strategies Negotiation and Closing: Prepare and deliver sales proposals and quotations Negotiate terms and conditions of sales agreements to close deals effectively Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management Skills Strong understanding of heavy machinery and in particular the articulated dump trucks and wheeled excavators Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite Personal Attributes: Self-motivated and results oriented Strong problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid drivers license and willingness to travel frequently within the sales territory including the regional markets Ability to conduct physical inspections and demonstrations of heavy machinery
