ROLE OVERVIEWOur client is looking for a personable and hard-working individual to join the sales team. You will be responsible for business development and growth globally. You will be expected to source and sign on new clients within various industries and ensure that client relationships are maintained.Responsibilities:Prospecting new leads/potential clients using internal processesCommunication with prospective clients and arranging sales callsMaintaining client data and generating quotes through our Client Relationship Management PlatformRunning calls and meetings together with the Branch ManagerNegotiating client agreements and costingSigning and interacting with clientsImplementing procedures to improve quality, productivity, and efficiencySKILL SET AND DESIRED COMPETENCIESExcellent knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Applications (i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook)Excellent use of the English language, both written and verbalMaintain effective communication with team members at all timesAbility to adapt within the ever-changing shipping environmentAbility to coordinate large high-value deals and keep track of and successfully manage all elements on each high-value projectAttention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks effectivelyProactive problem solvingGeneral business acumenQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEUniversity Undergraduate Degree of any background, commerce-focus preferableHonours Degree advantageousStrong academic track record
