Zutari values inclusion and recognises the importance of a diverse, talented workforce, believing that people need other people to succeed.Role responsibilitiesJoin the Roads Infrastructure group within our Global Design Centre located in Cape Town, providing quality design deliverables and solutions whilst continuously developing our roads design capability and digital eminence.Play a key part in technical delivery, responsible for line management (performance management, workload management, task delegation, team mentoring, etc.)
and jointly responsible for the roads and highways team performance.Focus on technical delivery in the fields of roads and highways geometric design and 3D modelling (LOD=300) using software packages including Bentley Openroads, Autodesk – Navisworks, Civil 3D, QGIS, and Google Earth.Conduct geometric design analyses including vehicle tracking, sight distance verification, aquaplaning, operational speed modelling, and geometry-dependent vehicle stability analyses.Work collaboratively on infrastructure projects in the Middle Eastern region.Provide innovative design solutions through a safe systems design approach.Engage with diverse analysis and modelling software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks and BIM360.Continuously strive to improve technical ability, modelling capability, and efficiency.Assist in upskilling junior team members.Work collaboratively with Global Design Centre colleagues and multi-disciplinary teams in the UAE, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.Minimum RequirementsRelevant qualification (BEng, BSc or B Tech) in Civil Engineering.At least 8 years' experience in geometric roads and highways design.Strong problem-solving skills.Familiarity with Middle Eastern Highway standards and design practice is advantageous.Demonstrated ability to form and nurture relationships with team members and clients.Strong 3D modelling capabilities (OpenRoads Designer and/or Civil 3D preferred).Polite and professional communication skills with high levels of confidence and patience.If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding position in a forward-thinking organisation, please apply with your detailed resume including current and expected salaries.
