Ensure regulatory reporting and submissions are performed on time. Stay up to date with regulatory changes to ensure risk and compliance management activities remain appropriate and effective and emerging risks are identified timeously. Risk management Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of the ERM framework, including risk identification, assessment, management, monitoring, and reporting processes. Ensure risks are appropriately managed in line with the company's risk appetite. Monitor adherence to and compliance with the ERM policies and procedures. Develop and maintain partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders including the Board, Management, and regulators. Promote a risk-aware culture through training and awareness campaigns. Identify and assess the risks and controls related to new products, projects, systems. Ensure risks are well managed and anticipated by monitoring and analyzing trends and changes in the business environment. Ensure reporting to stakeholders is timely, accurate, and complete. Compliance Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of the compliance management framework, including the compliance universe, CRMPs, and compliance monitoring. Ensure compliance risks are appropriately identified, assessed, managed, monitored, and reported. Provide assurance on compliance with laws, regulations, and organisational policies. Drive the compliance monitoring program and ensure maintenance of effective internal controls. Manage the execution of the compliance plan. Identify and respond to risks posed by regulatory changes. Ensure reporting to stakeholders is timely, accurate, and complete. People management Manage performance of direct reports and co-ordinate the development of technical competencies. Manage relationships with the team through teamwork, knowledge sharing, and collaboration. Uplift the skills of the team by mentoring and training others. Identify personal development and career progression opportunities for direct reports. Requirements: Relevant bachelor's degree in a related field. Minimum of 5-7 years' work experience in risk management and compliance, preferably within the insurance sector. Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a management role. Strong understanding of risk and compliance management principles and practices. Effective communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively across teams and with senior management. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with high attention to detail and organisation. Familiarity with risk and compliance software is desirable.
