Senior Risk Analyst

The department of risk oversees that the risk-reward profile of the trade books is fully understood by senior management as well as that the business's physical exposure is valued correctly. A key responsibility of this role is managing junior risk managers while undertaking your own risk management duties. In addition to providing support, the Senior Risk Analyst should also be proactive with their communication with risk management and traders.Responsibilities:Ensuring accurate and prompt entry and maintenance of physical and derivative tradesCalculating and running daily risk reports, including profit and loss calculationsProviding assistance in developing systems, processes, and reportsMaintaining effective communication with traders and senior management about resultsMaking sure reports and measurements reflect issues identified and are communicated proactivelyAd hoc duties as neededEducation:Degree in Mathematics / Finance / Economics (Honours Degree preferred)Job Experience and Skills Required:3 to 7 years' experience in financial services, or commodities tradingVBA and Python coding skills are advantageousExperience managing a team and mentoring junior members is preferredA high level of numeracy, as well as analytical and problem-solving abilitiesStrong communication skills required, with the ability to understand different perspectives and convey complex ideas to various audiencesCapable of constructively challenging proposals to ensure their robustness while maintaining positive working relationshipsAble to work well in a team, flexibly managing a diverse range of issuesMust work independently with a focus on practical business benefits, often under tight deadlinesApply now!  Â
