The ideal candidate will either have current enterprise-wide risk management experience within asset management or broader financial services along with at 8 - 10 years' experience.
Role reports to their Head of Risk and offers great future career development.
Responsibilities: Assist with risk processes (reporting & optimization, assessment, management, identification) for the business including IT risk analysis, identify and assess risk to IT applicationsIdentify solutions to reduce risks and address control Understand risks and issues the business may face and put controls in placeMake practical recommendations to improve system control and procedures Review risk incidents include root cause analysis, rectification assessment, suggest and test design suitability of improvementsManage risk assessments, Educate staff on risk awareness Advise on risk management practices and concernsStay on top of worldwide best practice and regulationsLiaise with Internal Audit and Compliance Functions, provide assurance assessment of risk management Requirements: Must have Honours degree in Commerce, Information Systems, or Risk Management or CA(SA) or have a similar qualification Have 8-10 years enterprise-wide risk management experience or strong internal audit at a Asset Manager or Financial Services provider Strong analytical, investigative problem solving and assessment skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsEffective negotiation and influencing skills.Effective report-writing and presentation skillsAttention to detail, adaptable and resilientPlease note that if you have not heard from us within 2 weeks of your application, please consider it as unsuccessful for this particular role.
