Description Identify new business opportunities for income generation. Facilitate and form part of the team that exhibits and market ARC products and services to clients. Plan, execute and maintain research trials on site and on station regarding agronomy research studies. Support research with clear focus on farmer support research with small holder farmers (on-site and on-station). Collect, and capture data from the trials on site and on farm. Manage and supervise research assistants working with the team. Contributes to reports (internal and external). Participate in technology transfer activities with small holder farmers. Support researchers with technical assistance and human resources management to ensure efficient deployment and utilization, setting objective assessment and training. Disseminates technology through peer-reviewed scientific articles, popular publications, manual production, presentations, radio and TV talks. Facilitate and assess training conducted internally and with external clients. Market and disseminate information through our research and technical groups. Ensure the alignment of business plan and programmer and projects. Identify risks and challenges and monitor food security programmed in various communities. Provide administrative functions arranging crop production inputs and reporting writing. General supervision of research greenhouses and glasshouses and agronomic open field crops. Conduct and training on new and existing cultivation and best management practices. Irrigation water management and fertilizer application research skills. Crop Management skills (Field crop production) Co-ordinate and facilitate and supervise agricultural development projects and provide technical and agronomic support. Support and collaborates with national and international organization. Compliance with human resource policies and procedures. Compliance with occupational health and safety policies and procedures.
Requirements BSc Honours in Agriculture or related professional qualification. Three 3 years' experience in a similar environment, public speaking (presentations, facilitate. Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office suite. Proven track record of conducting training and farmer support. Science and agriculture landscape experience. Sector Education and Training Authority (Facilitation, Assessing and/ Moderation). Conceptual and analytical Skills. Project management Skills. Interpersonal Skills Good Communication skills (Verbal and written). Customer relations. Advanced organizational skills with the ability to multitask. A valid SA driver's license.
