Senior Civil EngineerWith experience in working on various Lender's Technical Advisory and Owner's Engineering services for utility scale renewable energy projects (Wind and Solar) for Senior Energy Advisor position with top consulting engineering firm's Johannesburg office.Project Management and DeliveryThe role involves:Project planning and managementFeasibility studiesConcept design developmentPreparation of technical specifications and tender documentationWith a particular focus on:Photovoltaic systemsWind energyStorage solutionsGrid systemsTechnical Due DiligenceReview and construction and operations monitoring project stages with a particular focus on:Photovoltaic systemsWind energyStorage solutionsGrid systemsReporting and Proposal PreparationResponsibilities include:Writing technical reports and presentationsCompiling design drawingsPreparation of bids and proposalsSupport in winning workRequirementsEducational Background: B.Eng., BSC. or B. Tech in Civil Engineering, preferably with a further qualification in renewable energy and/or project management and/or financial management.Experience: At least 8 years work experience relevant to design and implementation of renewable energy projects (Solar and/or Wind).Sector Exposure: Recognizable experience in the energy sector with specific exposure to renewable energy (Solar and/or Wind).Professional Registration: Professionally Registered with ECSA.
