Senior Recruiter – Philippi FSS Branch - Cape Town A position exists for a Senior Recruiter stationed at the Philippi FSS Branch in Cape Town reporting to the HR Manager and General Manager. The overall purpose of this position is to ensure effective recruitment practices are initiated and coordinated for the Western Cape Guarding division. The position will be responsible for the complete 360 of the recruitment process, implementation of the recruitment and selection policy, management of recruitment staff, quality assurance checks within the region to ensure standardization of recruitment practices, coordination of screening and vetting solutions, and administrative controls to ensure effective personnel records on engagement.
Experience, Requirements and Qualifications Diploma in Human Resources Management (NQF 5) or equivalentA minimum of 3 years' experience in an HR Recruitment role in a senior position.Experience in the security industry preferred.Computer literacy with excellent knowledge of MS Word and Excel.Ability to work independently and professionally.Strong organizational, planning, communication, and client liaison skills are essential.Positive, proactive, innovative, and passionate about HR work.Good interpersonal skills.Ability to communicate in English and at least one other language.No criminal record or any pending cases.Positive reference checks from previous employers or clients required.Travelling will be required; applicants should have their own reliable transport and valid driver's license. Must be willing to use own transport for business purposes if fuel is provided.Key Performance Areas: (Not totally inclusive) Managing and coordinating the recruitment department.Ensuring that standardized recruitment and selection practices are implemented and maintained.Ensuring that effective screening and vetting solutions are used to identify the most suited applicant.Applying best practices regarding fit for purpose placements, taking into consideration client requirements, remuneration, and related factors – Operational Recruitment.Ensuring that the appointment of BCEA staff out of the EE targets are motivated with substantial proof.Managing staff and daily performance-related issues.Monitoring manpower status requests and progress thereof.Conducting weekly staff meetings and monitoring progress of the department.Compiling monthly reports and ensuring submission thereof timeously.Quality assuring staff application documentation to ensure compliance with set standards.Liaising with senior branch management and maintaining good employee relations.Participating in sub-committee meetings as and when required within the broader HR role.Assisting in cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and setting of performance standards.Ensuring that all vacancies are advertised and job descriptions are in line with the expected outcome of the position.Managing the complete interview process, feedback, and applicant processing.Ensuring that all documents are correct and valid for the onboarding process.Able to arrange and coordinate recruitment drives.Must be able to attract and retain talent.Must have the ability to drive recruitment projects in areas identified where new contracts are granted.Ability to create relationships with local community leaders where recruitment drive is high or labor turnover is high.Behavioral Competencies: Proactive and shows initiative.Assertiveness.Strong leadership ability with self-development.Development of others.Presentable.Analytical, critical thinking & planning skills.Goal setting & organizational skills.Driving & managing change.Driven for results.Interpersonal skills.Communication direction & skills.Customer focus.Teamwork.We reserve the right not to make an appointment to any advertised position.
