Senior Quantity Surveyor

A client, based in Stellenbosch, is hiring a Senior Quantity Surveyor. Qualifications and Experience:Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.Fluent on Afrikaans!Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in quantity surveying within the property or construction industry.Strong knowledge of contract management, cost estimation, and budget management.Excellent negotiation and communication skills.Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Key Responsibilities:Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for property development projects, including new builds and renovations.Contract Management: Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts with contractors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure compliance and value for money.Project Monitoring: Oversee project progress to ensure timely completion within budget, identifying and resolving any financial discrepancies.Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to costs and contracts, and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.Valuation and Payments: Conduct valuations of completed work and manage payment processes to contractors and suppliers.Feasibility Studies: Conduct feasibility studies and financial assessments for potential property developments.Cost Control: Implement effective cost control measures to minimize waste and optimize resource utilization.Reporting: Provide regular financial reports and updates to stakeholders, detailing project performance and financial status.Please note that only experienced candidates will be considered and contacted.
