Job Purpose: To ensure coordination of quality promotion and enhancement plans.To improve internal and external stakeholder relations in line with the strategic and management needs of QMD.To support the Quality Management Directorate in the implementation of institutional policies, procedures and systems.To entrench a quality assurance approach that is developmental and reflexive.To enhance the capacity of staff and students to engage in quality initiatives.To participate in the development of, monitoring and evaluation of, and reporting on quality improvement plans at institutional, faculty and departmental levels.Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience: At least 5 years working experience in the public higher education quality assurance environment.Proven experience in coordinating quality assurance activities such as programme accreditation, qualification reviews, quality improvement plans and quality promotion in the public Higher Education environment.Knowledge and understanding of the higher education regulatory environment.A good understanding of data management, document repositories and sharing applications.Report writing and research data analysis skills.Recommendation: Preference may be given to candidates with a Master's qualification or proof of registration for a Master's qualification.Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities: To plan and coordinate quality promotion and enhancement activities.To plan and coordinate stakeholder relations activities.To ensure active and meaningful participation of staff and student in quality assurance activities.To create opportunities for generative and reflexive engagements for a sustained improvement of quality.To monitor and report on student and staff engagement in relation to quality of provision.To develop quality promotion plan in line with the vision of the university.To conceptualize and coordinate quality promotion activities in line with the quality promotion plan.To capacitate staff and students on generative and reflexive methodology to quality assurance.To conduct workshops on institutional best practices and innovation.To conduct background research and assist in design, development & review of quality management related policies, procedures, systems & instruments as required, in line with relevant legislation, national standards & international best practice.To coordinate QMD marketing and communication activities.Aligning performance for success.Building a successful team.Building partnerships.Building trust.Communication.Delegating responsibility.Developing others.Facilitating change.Managing conflict.Technical/professional knowledge and skill.Technologically astute.General Information: Closing Date: 03 December 2024
