The project is aimed at reducing the plants' gas emissions, increasing the plants' power capacity and moving into a more environmentally sustainable manufacturing facility.Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the purpose of this role is to oversee the overall planning function and ensure effective scheduling of all activities across the project. Develop the initial project schedule further, liaise with all stakeholders, contractors and suppliers to keep the schedule updated throughout the lifespan of the project and track progress of planned activities and set milestones.Key Performance AreasCreate a consolidated project schedule by combining all available information and sub-schedules.Coordinate all planning and scheduling activities of the project.Develop and maintain the project schedule on Microsoft Projects / Primavera.Integrate project schedules into the project master plan.Manage stakeholders.Ensure continuous process and resource optimisation.Pro-actively obtain progress updates from construction personnel or appointed contractors.Perform regular field validation of construction progress.Prepare weekly and monthly schedule progress reports and S-Curve development.Identify mitigations for schedule risks and issues.Flag schedule risks to management.Minimum Qualifications and Skills Required:Engineering Qualification preferable.Primavera Certification.SAP and Primavera Superuser.Microsoft Project.Minimum Experience Required:10-15 years in engineering project planning environment.Exposure to mega / large scale projects.Boiler construction experience will be highly advantageous.Additional Requirements / Preferences:Preference will be given to South African citizens.Placements will be made according to our client's Employment Equity Plan.Contract Duration: 1 year initial fixed term contractJob Grade: DLLocation: Richards Bay - Site-based
