Oversee different initiatives or projects of the business, monitor the progress and completion, and ensure that the expectations of the clients are met. Provide management oversight for all phases of plumbing and construction projects including coordinating employees, subcontractors, materials, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding with quality, on schedule, and within budget. Ensure quality and data integrity and customer satisfaction.Responsibilities:Planning project resources.Preparing feasibility studies and budgets for proposed projects.Developing a cost-effective plan and schedule for the completion of the project following a logical pattern for the utilization of resources.Minimizing exposure and risk by implementing and auditing safety standards and quality assurance controls.Preparing Bills of Quantities and other tender documentation to acquire fair and equitable tenders for projects.Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.Coordinate with stakeholders to define project requirements and obtain necessary approvals.Allocate and manage project resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment.Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and milestones.Mitigate risks and resolve issues that arise during project execution.Coordinate the work of subcontractors working on various phases of multiple projects.Accurately forecast revenue, profitability, and project costs.Manage to and achieve revenue goals set for projects.Lead teams and subcontractors for areas allocated by the client.Effective time management.Monitor and report the progress of the projects.Manage day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple construction projects in a supervisory role.Manage day-to-day client interactions and expectations, directly or in a supervisory role.Coordinate with team members to ensure that all parties are on track.Meet with project team members to identify and resolve issues.Submit project deliverables and ensure that they adhere to quality standards.Establish effective project communication plans and ensure their execution.Facilitate change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget.Conduct post-project evaluation and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.Stock control and management.Liaise with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.Advise managers and clients on improvements and new strategies.Travel from the office to various sites.Monitor costs and report to clients during the projects.Perform quantity take-offs and detailed cost estimation for plumbing projects.Prepare bills of quantities (BOQ) and tender documents.Evaluate and negotiate contracts, change orders, and variations.Manage subcontractor procurement, evaluation, and selection processes.Implement cost control measures to ensure project budgets are adhered to.Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members throughout the project lifecycle.Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, promoting open communication and teamwork.Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.Lead and manage project teams, including plumbers, subcontractors, and other project personnel.Assign tasks and responsibilities, ensuring effective utilization of team members' skills and expertise.Coordinate the development of user manuals, training materials, and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation and turnover of the process or system to the clients.Identify and develop new opportunities and solutions with clients.Obtain customer acceptance of project deliverables.Manage customer satisfaction within the project transition period.Establish and maintain professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders.Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers.Provide regular project updates to stakeholders, addressing inquiries and concerns.Facilitate effective communication among project team members and stakeholders.Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, fostering collaboration and customer satisfaction.Conduct project meetings, including kick-off meetings, progress reviews, and project closure discussions.Ensure accurate and complete project documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders.Prepare and present project reports, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and achievements.Maintain organized project files, both physical and electronic, for easy access and reference.Collaborate with administrative staff to manage project-related documentation and record-keeping.Ensure compliance with document control procedures and record retention policies.Develop project budgets, considering labor, materials, equipment, and other project expenses.Monitor project costs, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.Collaborate with finance departments to track project expenditures, invoices, and payments.Review and approve project-related financial documents, such as change orders and progress billings.Provide regular financial reports to stakeholders, highlighting project financial performance.Scrutinize maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.Prepare reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessments, and other documents.Document any changes in design and update budgets.Ensure compliance with plumbing codes, regulations, and industry standards.Implement quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of workmanship.Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance and identify areas for improvement.Collaborate with regulatory bodies and inspectors to obtain necessary permits and approvals.Address safety concerns and promote a culture of safety throughout the project.Seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in project management practices.Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies in plumbing and construction.Recommend and implement best practices to enhance project outcomes and client satisfaction.Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the project team.Participate in post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement.Minimum Requirements:Must have a project management qualification.Must have 5 - 10 years' experience in building maintenance, roofing, decking, pools, construction.At least 5 years of Project Management and Quantity Surveying experience.Must have a Drivers License - Code 8.Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related field.SACQSP / SACPCMP registration advantageous.Project Management Certification.Microsoft Project - Advanced.Microsoft Office Advanced.Budget Management.Experience in other Construction software will be advantageous.Leadership and business management skills.Knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware, and software.Persistence and determination.Able to use your initiative.Be thorough and pay attention to detail.Maths knowledge.Excellent verbal communication skills.Job Type: PermanentEducation:Bachelors
