Senior Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:Understand the scope of what needs to be delivered and translate these into project plans and schedulesConduct/Facilitate Project Planning sessions with project teamsDevelop Project Management Plans, Charters, Progress & Status ReportsManage and control the Project Risk and Issue RegisterPlan and control project schedules (plans) in line with timelines and target datesControl project quality during and beyond project delivery and executionManage, lead, allocate and control project teams and their deliverables (including external delivery partners)Conduct Project Weekly meetings and/or Stand-ups with all project team membersEstablish, manage and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the organisation including Senior andExecutive ManagementControl project scope and manage scope change requests and conduct Project Closeout sessionsMonitor, control and report on Project Budget and ExpenditureEnsure compliance to the Project Management Governance Framework and supporting processesAccurate and regular reporting on assigned projects (Steercom and Exco Reports)Required Knowledge, Experience and Skills:8 - 10 years experience as a Project Manager in the IT environment managing projects from inception to closeout, preferably within the Financial Services sectorExperience within Insurance advantageousSound understanding of short-term insuranceWorking knowledge of both Waterfall and Agile methodologiesExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong leadership, conflict resolution, analytical and problem solving skillsEducational Requirements:MatricBachelors Degree in Information systems or equivalentPMP or any Project management qualification
