Senior Project Manager

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, define project scope, establish timelines, allocate resources, and monitor progress against project milestones. Responsible for overall project financial performance, budgeting, expenditure control, and cash flow. Manage and develop project budgets (invoicing data, approve projects expenses, etc.) Ensure project compliance with companys financial policies, procedures, and controls. Initiate procurement and monitor material receipt. Manage multi-disciplinary projects or project programs within project budgets, timelines, and contractual quality deliverables. Assess and identify areas for improvement. Manage safety in terms of personnel, equipment and environment. Initiate procurement and monitor material receipt. Manage grievances and disagreements appropriately. Manage contractual requirements and liaise with the client. Maintain project schedules and implement changes and interventions as needed Measure project performance, report, and escalate to management as needed. Attend supplier clarification meetings and assist with adjudication. Execute contracts with input from various departments. Assist in developing, implementing, managing, and maintaining project strategies, processes, procedures, and work instructions for effective project realization throughout the project life cycle, in collaboration with the Area Manager. Ensure project compliance with company legal strategies. Ensure proper utilization of systems like IFS (logging time, approvals, subcontract management, purchase order approvals, adhering to protocols). Ensure the project uses the correct software and tools (collaboration platforms, ERP, etc.). QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical or Electrical Engineering) with professional registration. Minimum 10 years of professional experience in project management, with proven track record of delivering successful projects. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly desirable. Experience leading cross-functional and complex projects in a fast-paced environment. Practical site construction experience is a must. Formal training in related contract management (ECC & PSC or others as required). Exceptional qualifications/training in ISO 9001, 14001, or OHSAS 18001 are desirable. Exceptional qualification in contract law is desirable. KNOWLEDGE & BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES Knowledge: Thorough knowledge and understanding of project management principals in terms of the PMBOK. Thorough knowledge of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. Thorough knowledge on contract management and contract requirements. Thorough understanding of project scheduling. Good knowledge of regulatory and safety governance. Thorough understanding of business principals. Thorough understanding of business processes and organizational functionality. Skills Computer Literate (Word, Excel) Computer Systems (IFS, Primavera, MS Projects, Project Management Collaboration Platforms) Be able to communicate clearly. Be technically competent. Behaviours/Personal Attributes: High degree of integrity and loyalty. Self-motivated with the ability to independently initiate activities. Enthusiastic, brings energy and is always busy.
