Overall Job FunctionTo manage the development of products in the R&D department from concept up to production handover according to the company's LCM processes and methods.To coordinate with all internal departments where applicable and reach consensus on tasks and activities within the company and/or with customers and across AEC sites.Job ResponsibilitiesPlan, execute and control project tasks allocated to various disciplines to ensure delivery within the allocated timeline and processes to ensure quality and cost effectivenessDevelop the overall budget including staffing requirementsEnsure that each programme meets the stated objectivesAgree priorities with Department Manager and Engineering DirectorMonitor, control and manage tasks to ensure adherence to the LCM processIdentify and communicate project critical paths and major risksAddress project challenges and resolve project conflictsGather and analyse information to identify opportunities for improvementsManage communication channelsReports the progress of the projects as requiredCooperate and reach consensus with project teams across sites within AECCoordinate with sub-contractors if and when required during developmentWork with customers and/or support program management to ensure agreed deliverables and milestones are met.Job RequirementsBScEng or project management certification and a minimum 5 – 10 years Project Management experience.Experience owning program strategy with end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior management.Strong experience in analytical, strategic and planning functions.Good interpersonal and communication skills.Extraordinary organization skills, attention to detail and excellent follow through. Financial, contractual, commercial skills, negotiating ability.Experience in an electronic/high-tech environment is highly desirable.Experience in an aerospace environment and knowledge of SW and HW development processes such as DO-178 and DO-252.Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
