Senior Project Engineer

A New Zealand based company is looking for a Senior Project EngineerKey tasks and duties to be performed:Plans, reviews and monitors the delivery and engineering aspects of the designated Zone within the project works ensuring an optimal solution developed for the construction phase (PAA).Responsible for monitoring and reporting against the budgets and forecasts for their engineering discipline within the Zone, providing support to the Zone Lead.Lead and manage direct reports including Project and Site Engineers to achieve the outcomes as per above, in accordance with Alliance values.Ensures that performance targets under their control are met, together with maintaining the required high standard of safety and quality.QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCEMinimum 7 years of Construction and Engineering experience.Advanced Technical knowledge in Construction methods including productivities.Experience in a large construction/multi project environment and/or Alliances and Joint Ventures preferred.Effective communication skills – both verbal and written, and the ability to communicate with a variety of people.Effective interpersonal skills – work with and get the best out of a wide mix of people.Strong organisational skills - able to manage time well and prioritise work.Intermediate to advanced level in MS Office especially Excel.Only applicants who currently reside/live in the Western and Eastern Cape Region will be considered.
