Senior Project Engineer

TRS has an exciting opportunity for a SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER with strong Raise Boring and FIDIC contract management experience. Lead and oversee mechanical engineering projects, ensuring the successful execution of raise boring operations while adhering to contractual obligations and project timelines. Join our international client's team based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

Project planning
Coordination of engineering activities
Procurement management
Contract negotiation
Ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards

Requirements
Experience:

Extensive contract management – FIDIC
Worked within an EPCM/Mining environment essential
Knowledge of specific departments i.e.: Projects, Project Controls, etc. essential
Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 45001 advantageous
Sound technical knowledge in a multi-discipline environment essential

Qualification and Skills Requirements:

BSc Honors/ BTech/ NQFL7 or higher in Mechanical Engineering essential
Professional Registration essential - ECSA
GCC (Mines & Works) advantageous
Post Graduate Qualifications advantageous
10 or more years of experience in Mechanical Engineering
5 years or more in Mining Projects
3 years or more operational experience in mines
