A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources / Behavioural
Sciences or related field
A minimum of five (5) years' experience focusing on policy
development and remuneration and benefits
Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation in order
to formulate and develop remuneration and benefits-related policies, systems and procedures and guidelines
A Global Remuneration Practitioner (GRP) Certification would
be preferred. Key Performance Areas
Responsible for the formulation, development and
implementation of remuneration and benefits related policies, systems and procedures and guidelines
Maintain and provide advice on policies, systems and
procedures and guidelines regarding matters pertaining to remuneration, benefits and conditions of service
Establish effective methods to evaluate and monitor policy
compliance of remuneration and benefits-related policies, systems and procedures and guidelines
Implement processes relating to the communication and
application of remuneration and benefits-related policies, systems and procedures and guidelines
Conduct research and benchmark best practices regarding
remuneration, benefits and conditions of service
Monitor, review and recommend changes to the Conditions
of Service where applicable
Review operational allowances and Local Conditions of
Service (LUCOS) Schedules in line with the South African Local Government Bargaining Council ( SALGBC ) framework / Collective Agreement
Carry out investigations and deal with grievances and
disputes relating to Remuneration, Benefits and Conditions of Service-related policies
Participate in the Supply Chain Management process to
appoint parties with regard to Request for Quotations (RFQ's)/tenders/contracts
Engage with internal and external stakeholders.
