Let's change the game together.We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg (Hybrid).Job Overview:The Product Designer will facilitate user experience integration into the design of products and services, designing interfaces that effectively communicate the brand while enriching the customer experience. This role involves creating visual artifacts, conducting research, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs meet business goals and user needs.ResponsibilitiesDesign & Development:Develop compelling visual artifacts including UI layouts, interface elements, prototypes, high-level storyboards, mock-ups, and wireframes to effectively communicate UI and UX needs.Maintain design elements, mock-ups, and specifications as required.Research & Analysis:Stay updated on the latest visual design, UI, and interaction concepts, presentation layer technologies, digital best practices, and online trends. Provide recommendations for improvements.Conduct best practice research to develop and improve UI and interaction design, ensuring solutions address end-user problems effectively.Perform competitor research to enhance product features while balancing user needs, technical constraints, and business objectives.User Experience & Testing:Formulate testing parameters to effectively assess user experience and iterate designs based on feedback.Develop user experience flows and integrate them into mock-ups, usage scenarios, prototypes, specifications, and navigation maps.Collaboration & Communication:Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are successfully implemented, achieving user goals and aligning with business objectives.Effectively communicate ideas, both verbally and visually, to gain stakeholder agreement and alignment.Design System & Standards:Serve as the custodian for developing visual, UI, and interaction design assets to be adopted within the design system.Adhere to design standards by following the Design System and ensuring consistent design patterns and principles.Innovation & Improvement:Advocate for end-users throughout the development process, working closely with the Service Design Team to craft a world-class user experience.Create and prioritize recommendations based on technology, user needs, and business goals.Professional Development:Identify training opportunities and career progression paths for continuous personal development.Share knowledge and industry trends with the team and stakeholders during formal and informal interactions.Corporate Responsibility:Participate in corporate responsibility initiatives that support the achievement of the company's business strategy and transformation goals.Qualifications:Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.Preferred - Certifications in relevant design tools and methodologies.Experience:10-12 years of experience in product design, UI/UX design, or a related field.Technical / Professional Knowledge:Expertise in process design, product design, and relevant design tools.Strong skills in writing, editing, proofreading, layout, and design.Experience in web design and developing for digital platforms.Ability to analyze and interpret quantitative and qualitative data for accurate design implementation.Understanding of architecting, designing, and implementing a DevOps tool chain for an SME business.Key Competencies:Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.A user-centered mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.Strong organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.Proactive in seeking opportunities to improve processes and add value to the business.Benefits:We are guided by shared values in all things we do: Courage, Excellence, Collaboration, Respect and Accountability.Courage – We are bold thinkers and doers, always ready to take on new challenges.
