With a full order book and extensive expertise, exciting opportunities lie ahead.As a Process Engineer, you'll take charge of critical process functions, including calculations, equipment sizing and selection, developing process flowsheets, P&IDs, and control philosophies. You will also travel to site for plant commissioning.Key Responsibilities:Assist in managing department resources and activities.Supervise and mentor junior process engineers, ensuring adherence to department procedures.Develop and standardize process flowsheets, P&IDs, process design criteria, and equipment specifications.Perform process engineering calculations, equipment sizing, and selection.Compile process audit, laboratory, and pilot plant test reports.Conduct on-site commissioning, equipment checks, and punch lists.Ensure safety and housekeeping during equipment testing and commissioning.Provide technical support for sales, tenders, and equipment selection.Oversee laboratory and pilot plant assembly, testing, and maintenance.Requirements:Degree in Chemical Engineering or Extractive Metallurgy (BSc, BEng or BTech).5+ years of Process Engineering experience in a Minerals Processing environment (Mine, Project House, Equipment Supplier / OEM).Experience and strong knowledge in liquid / solid separation plants used in Mining (i.e., Thickeners, Vacuum Belt Filters, Filter Presses, Clarifiers, Flotation Cells).Willingness and flexibility to travel locally, within Africa, and internationally for commissioning and test work.European passport (beneficial).Benefits:Salary: R960 000 - R1 000 000 CTCDesired Skills:Process EngineeringMinerals ProcessingLiquid / solid separation plantsThickenersBelt FiltersFilter PressesClarifiersDesired Qualification Level:DegreeAbout The Employer:This Job Opportunity is advertised by Square 1 Recruitment, we are a Permanent Placement Agency.
