Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be required to fulfil the job as summarised below, but not limited to:
Design of pressure piping systems and pressured equipment Stress analysis and flexibility calculations Preparation of project standards, engineering and technical specifications for special piping items, expansion joints, spring hangers and pipe supports, non-standard valves and other pressure piping components Piping and Plant layout development as well as experience in nozzle orientations 3D Software systems Experience on fabrication and site erection Coordination with other piping engineers, stress engineers, Vessel Engineers and PDMS designers QualificationsBSc / B.Eng Mechanical Engineering degree with 10 years relevant design and commissioning experience in the PetroChemical industry.
Pr. Eng registration with ECSA.
Experience RequiredThe candidate must be experienced in the following fields:
At least 2 years in the project environment compiling basic and detailed engineering packages. Ability to conceptualise plant layouts and experience of piping and equipment layout design based on international requirements Thorough understanding of standard engineering theories and principles. Knowledge of the statutory requirements for pressure vessels and pressurised equipment and the applicable Codes and standards is a pre-requisite of this position. Proficient in PDS / PDMS model development Previous experience as a lead piping engineer and good interpersonal skills. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
