Job title : Senior Piping Designer Job Location : Gauteng, Johannesburg Deadline : December 28, 2024 Quick Recommended Links Jobs by Location Job by industries As the successful candidate, you will: Be responsible for development of piping 3D models and 2D deliverables in accordance with project and Hatch standards Assist in resolving piping technical issues and provides guidance to other designers as well as supervising and coordinating piping design tasks.
Be heavily involved in the following: layout of complex plant and piping systems using 3D modelling design tools produce 2D drawings from 3D models ensure 2D deliverables are checked to comply with Hatch quality standards perform design for piping plant models using project specifications and procedures and applying industry best practice using vendor drawings and information to develop and check the model, facilitate formal piping design reviews extracting isometrics coordinating pipe support design including special pipe supports with Piping Stress Engineer produce general arrangement drawings from the 3D model inclusive of annotation.
You bring to the role: 10+ years experience in piping design experience Superb modelling skills in a 3D environment Proficient in knowledge of piping material components Excellent understanding of piping design and layout of piping systems Advanced diploma of engineering or equivalent (Mechanical preferred).
Preferred knowledge of Bentley 3D design software tools, copper concentration or flotation experience.
