Send an email about this job to a friend or to yourself.Main Purpose: To ensure that all fitting activities allocated is executed within time, budget and quality constraints for the project.Key Performance Areas:Take full responsibility for the work that must be executed in the specific section and ensure that all health and safety, quality and project requirements and objectives are followed and met by all.Ensure that all employees clearly understand the SOW that should be performed according to the Project plan, how the work should be performed (as per SWIM) and what the specific technical and quality requirements are (as per ITP) for the work to be performed.Control the production according to the MCS Guideline I.225110 and ensure that the correct and latest revisions of project and quality documents are utilized during the process of repairs, maintenance, fabrication, and installation.Verify that material received is correct as per the Bill of Materials, released as per priority of erection or repairs as determined by the planning schedule, managed and handled as per the requirements of I.22.5106 – Material Control.Ensure that all material substitutions and design changes are reported to, approved and verified by the Design Engineer, Client, AIA and Company QC department and properly documented.Ensure that the Company QC, Site Manager and/or Project Engineer/Manager are immediately notified of any discrepancy or damage which occurred during handling, installation, welding or any deviation from the required specifications or standards, in order for the deviation to be assessed, reported on and documented.Investigate all deviations where the production targets are not met. Identify the root cause of the deviation and presents a corrective action report to the Site Manager/Outage and/or Maintenance Coordinator for approval.Manage the identified risks through forward planning and reporting all imminent risk to the Site Manager/Outage and/or Maintenance Coordinator.Ensure that all NDT and first-line inspections are performed at various stages as indicated on the work scope and Inspection Test Plan (ITP).Ensure that all first-line inspections are performed and accepted by Artisans and section Supervisors prior to requesting verifications/inspections by the Company's QC department.Ensure that the results for the NDT - and first-line inspections are acceptable before continuation to the next production stage.Ensure that all required quality verification/inspection are formally requested (Quality Control Request I.52.5090).Ensure that work is complete, deficiencies have been corrected and NDT clearance has been obtained and accepted by all relevant parties before requesting a final inspection or preparing for pressure test.Participate in all HSE related activities including, but not limited to, informing the HSE department of new activities being executed, safety deviations on the safety report are addressed daily, HSE Officers are informed of high-risk tasks and ensure that the CRA and SOP is signed off prior to these task being executed.Any other job related duties as required from time to time.Ability to lead and motivate people.Ability to build and maintain relationships on different levels.Ability to interact with people on different levels.Assertive, good self-esteem and confident.Good written and verbal communication skills.Ability to perform within tight deadline and under pressure.Problem solving, good planning and organisational skills.Ability to work independently and take initiative to ensure that deadlines are met.Ability to focus on quality, perform to requirements and adhere to specifications under pressure.Preferred Requirements:Grade 12/N3.National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering would be advantageous.5 Years' experience in working as a Fitter/Pipefitter in the power generation industry.5 Years' working experience as a Supervisor.Experience in NDT testing and interaction with the AIA.Experience in and knowledge of utility boilers, boiler pressure parts and piping.Knowledge of material handling and verification.Knowledge of Quality Control requirements, standards and reporting on deviations.Knowledge of HSE procedures and standards. 2 people have applied for this job. 74 people have viewed this job. #J-18808-Ljbffr
