Senior Parts AdministratorResponsible for the daily management of the parts department. Key responsibilities are stipulated below, but are not limited to only the below.Key Responsibilities and TasksOverseeing the organization and maintenance of parts inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and availability.Identifying and creating lists of parts that need to be purchased to maintain sufficient stock levels.Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of parts.Managing the entire process of ordering parts, including tracking shipments, addressing issues, and ensuring timely delivery.Supervising a team of staff members, delegating tasks, and ensuring efficient collaboration within the department.Overseeing procedures for the replacement of stock, including handling defective or obsolete parts.Preparing regular reports, such as monthly stock reconciliations, to assess inventory status and identify areas for improvement.Resolving any inconsistencies or issues related to purchase orders to maintain accuracy in financial records.Collaborating with various departments to understand their parts requirements and ensuring that adequate stock is available to meet operational needs.Monitoring and controlling costs related to inventory, procurement, and parts management to optimize budgetary allocations.Implementing quality control measures to ensure that parts meet the required standards and specifications.Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures governing parts management and inventory control.Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing effective strategies to enhance the overall efficiency of the parts department.Responsible for timely stock control and stock take procedures.Responsible for control of tyres, ordering of tyres and managing thereof.Skills and CharacteristicsDemonstrate high levels of quality, focus, and attention to detail.Consistent ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Experience and EducationNational Matric certificate (Grade 12).Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the same or similar field would be an advantage.Experience in the transport and logistics field would be advantageous.Package and RemunerationJob Type: Full-time, PermanentSalary: R20 000,00 - R25 000,00 per month
